Phuong-Thao (Alex) Nguyen, PT, DPT
Health Equity Advisor
Dr. Nguyen leads Bento Biology’s public health programs, collaborating with mission leaders, industry, and Patient Advocacy Organizations (PAOs) to make clinical trials and biorepository programs more diverse and inclusive. She excels at launching technology platforms and web3 operational infrastructure that promote health and health equity. She is experienced in web2 and web3 product management, and she is responsible for managing and expanding Bento’s IP portfolio. As an early member, she built the operational infrastructure for Tech Runs DAO, a decentralized autonomous organization to connect individuals through sports and web3, and helped it scale to numerous cities across the United States. Prior to entering the tech industry, Dr. Nguyen worked as a physical therapist in orthopedics, sports, and occupational health with diverse populations. She has served on multiple DEI panels for governments, universities, and health organizations. She has actively led and shaped national DEI initiatives and policies, including University of Miami’s Physical Therapy Work Group to Address Racism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)’s Plan to Model Principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within the Student Assembly.
